Kay’s Questions:

What is your favorite type of book blog post?

Book reviews, soul of book blogging ❤ It’s the one type of post I always feel like doing, even when tags or discussions fail (aka I’ve exhausted my creative capacity for the week)

What is your favorite classic?

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte ❤ ❤ ❤ How could I not say JANE????? It was my second classic novel I ever read, the first being Pride and Prejudice, which I loved, but Jane is so passionate, she’s romantic and her sense of self is so sophisticated????? I credit Jane Eyre and Junie B. Jones for making me the book-obsessed recluse before you today

Who are some of your OTP’s?

(a small sample)

***Monty and Percy from Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue****

Catherine and Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights

Cress and Captain from Lunar Chronicles

Ron and Harry from Harry Potter (BrOTP)

Inej and Kaz from Six of Crows (I’m 25% into the book but ALREADY)

If you could live in any book world, what would it be?

I adore so many fictional worlds but I’d never live in them because I would emotionally die in the presence of the characters I love. I can’t violate their blessed universe by showing up??

It’s weird to explain, it’s like I worship the characters so much that I can’t be in the same room as they are. BUT I would love to go to Hogwarts and be with my fellow Slytherins. ❤

If you could have any magic power/superpower/cool ability from a book character, what would it be?

I’ve never read Sherlock Holmes by Doyle, but imagine being able to think like he does??? I’ve been trying to be observant like him, but I’m always daydreaming, or I’ll get fixated on one thing and forget to be observant. Smol steps like remembering where I left my water bottle.

What is your favorite Disney movie?

Where is your favorite place to read?

Anywhere where there’s frozen hot chocolate. \paradise./

What is your favorite book read in 2018 so far?

Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee ❤ MONTY & PERCY 4EVER. *future tattoo*

What are your thoughts on love triangles?

They’re usually not wanted BUT I just read Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and the Clary/Simon/Jace triangle is interesting, I don’t know who Clary should be with???? Why can’t they all just decide to be together???? Loyalty is my favorite trait and in a love triangle the one caught in the middle is betraying one or both of his/her special friends & then how can I love the middle person anymore??? save the drama & pick a side and ride.

What are some of your all time favorites?

One of my favorite books that not many people have read is Vincent and Theo by Deborah Heiligman. I so much love Vincent van Gogh, and his platonic soulmate was his little brother, Theo, and this book reads like fiction but is 100% nonfiction, all about their BEAUTIFUL life together. EMOTIONS SET TO KILL.

Another one is “In Sight of Stars” by Gae Polisner. It’s so beautiful. I read it as an ARC & it’s coming out 3/13 ❤ And Gae is the nicest author ever and she shared my review on her Twitter???????? At this point as a fan I should no longer be functioning there’s too much happiness.

What book would you rewrite the ending to and why?

The Hunger Games. PRIM MUSTN’T DIE. Prim is the number one person in Katniss’ world, and to have her die makes the entire 3 books seem pointless???? Without Prim, Katniss would have never made an effort to be a hero, so it’s like the heart of the plot died as the “resolution.” Fans deserve an alternate ending like in Final Destination.

Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. I waited patiently for Lucie to realize Sydney Carton (the HERO of the story with characterization so deep you can fit in an Argentinosaurus into his soul) was the love of her life and the perfect person and he deserved happiness. But what does Dickens do??? HE LETS CARTON DIE ALONE???????? My feelings were maimed.

THANK YOU so much for the nomination! I shall do this soon. 😉

I loved reading your answers! AGH I agree, why did they kill Prim?! It’s been a while since I read Mockingjay but I honestly can’t think of any purpose it served other than to crash Katniss’ world and break my heart.

Oh my goshhhhh thank you for nominating me. 🙂

Totally random story about Peter Pan. My bf and I went to Disneyland and Peter Pan yelled and it scared the crap out of me. I wouldn’t go near him for the rest of the trip haha

Catherine and Heathcliff are one of my faves, how could I sleep on them? I had to read that and Jane Eyre in college and I’m so ready for a reread. I feel like I need to reread some of my old favorite classics. 😀 Loved your answers!

also you are So Right about the hunger games ending!! it’s like suzanne collins was all “we should kill another character” and spun a wheel and murdered who it landed on. NO FAIR.

Your Percy & Monty tattoo would be so cute!
