the Goodreads Book Tag (i love Goodreads so much)

I found this tag on Kat Impossible’s blog, and since I’m entirely committed to Goodreads (instead of sleep) I decided to do it. So many precious book recommendations, it’s also where I find wondrous book blogs/vlogs based on favorite reviewers (like Hannah @aclockworkreader). At this point I can’t imagine the long old days when I was without Goodreads???

~goodreads ~ is~my~friend~

and without further adieu…

What was the last book you marked as ‘read’?

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

/rendered speechless/

how did Leigh Bardugo do this???? This book was so so good, I’m in love with every single character (Kaz and Nina most) and I would read an ENTIRE NOVEL just for each character. I know Kaz wants to be a good person for Inej but I’m glad he’s fully embracing Dirtyhands at this point. BE WHO YOU ARE YOU PERFECT SOUL. Inej is kidnapped, but going into “Crooked Kingdom” I mostly just pity her captors because she’s INEJ.  ❤

and Matthias is taking care of withdraw!Nina??????

jesper and wylan love one another?????? THANK YOU LORD.

this book was a success

What are you currently reading?

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (Allan Corduner narrates the Audible book and it’s beautiful)

David Copperfield by Charles Dickens (don’t gaze at me I know it’s been 3 months)

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo (obvs)

What was the last book you marked as TBR

2018 challenge.PNG

{readers also enjoyed, “Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue”} GOODREADS STOP YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL

What book do you plan to read next?

2018 challenge.PNG

I’ve renewed this from the library 4 times and let myself down 4 times.

Do you use the star rating system?

my system:

1 star= DNF

2 star= mostly horrible, do not read it here nor there

3 star= decent but I would never reread

4 star= I love this so much I want to own the physical copy

5 stars= *i love this more than frozen hot chocolate* FANART, SCOTTY. ///if you don’t like this book I feel personally affronted///

(I should put this on my about page)

Are you doing a 2018 Reading Challenge?

2018 is my first full-year challenge & my goal is 50 books

so far look at me go???? I’m the queen of life’s challenges.

2018 challenge

Do you have a wish list?

Yes, on my real life bookshelf I taped a list of my dream books, but I’m still recovering from the “January bookstore incident” where I spent pretty much all of my savings on HP + Mortal Instruments + Six of Crows series.

forever worth it

What book do you plan to buy next

anna k

I’ve never read this or anything by Rainbow Rowell but I have faith because so many other bloggers loved it + the premise.

Do you have any favorite quotes?

*I hold my breath*

Who are your favorite authors?

Anaïs Nin

Bronte sisters

Charles Dickens

JK Rowling

Mackenzi Lee

Leigh Bardugo

Cassandra Clare

Have you joined any groups?

Yes but just like in high school I fail at participation. It’s all exciting at first, then I realize, -wait i’m petulant and introverted have i actually gone insane-

I tag:

all interested parties

How much do you love Goodreads? Have you read any of these books? Want to know where I found the font I used for my Goodreads graphic? Do you like hummus burgers?

won’t you be my friend on Goodreads ❤

Ah, looks like the Six of Crows is going to take over my life as well. I’m saving up to get the duology after this semesters. I also need a Harry Potter boxset of my own.

Firstly, let me hug you for reading The Book Thief! It’s one of my absolute no brainer favourite books. And kudos for reading Copperfield. That book took me a very long time to finish!

    What a great tag!

I adore your rating system. It has come to my attention that I don’t even, like, have one? Nothing legit, anyway. I def rate on a whim and it’s not good.

Your answers were so on point, I’m so happy you liked Six of Crows, I still have to read Crooked Kingdom, I just keep postponing it because I have such high expectations and I’m afraid they might not be met (though it’s a stupid concern, most probably).
    Lovely post! ❤

Aww, Malanie, thank you so much for the tag!! Funny enough, I’ve already done this one, but… it was a while ago. Like, last year. Hmmm… I’ll think about doing it again.
(This post was lovely, as always!! I loved your answers.) 💕

It’s so great that you are ahead on your reading challenge and you have read so many great books already this year?! 🙂 Also, I hope you won’t cry while reading that Adam Silvera novel. I haven’t read it yet, but… I heard it makes people cry. I know it will make me cry, but I’m such a book-crier haha 🙂

The Six of Crows duology is EVERYTHING! There is not a single character I do not love and it’s just so amazing and you are going to love and hate and have all the feels during Crooked Kingdom for sure.
Also, major YAS for The Book Thief. Such a beautiful story, I sob every time I read it or watch the movie.
